This week I’m going to be sharing more details about my classes! • We’re starting off with Clinical Applications of Occupational Therapy in Pediatrics and Adolescence • I’m sure you all know by now, but I’m a total peds girl. • So even though everyone says this is the hardest class, I’m just too excited to care! (Baby day can’t come soon enough) • This class will be all about assessments, interventions and theories for physical, developmental, sensory integrative, perceptual/cognitive, and psychosocial dysfunctions in early lifespan development. • We will be applying what we learn to gross, fine, and oral-motor skills; behavioral and social issues, handwriting, sensory integrative, visual, cognitive, and psychosocial problems. • Along with the lecture and lab work, this will be one of my first level 1 fieldwork experiences- which I’m so excited about! Kids will be coming into our labs and we will get to assess them and create intervention plans.
